Stone & Glass Care Guide

General Protection

Use Coasters and Mats

Always use coasters under glasses and placemats under plates to prevent scratches, etching, and heat rings.

Lift Objects

Never drag items across a stone or glass surface, as this will cause scratches.

Protect from Impact

Avoid knocking heavy or sharp objects against the edges of stone and glass tables.

Cleaning Stone

Marble, Granite, etc.

Daily Cleaning

Wipe with a soft, damp microfibre cloth. Dry with a separate soft cloth to prevent water spots.

Mild Cleaning

For a deeper clean, use a mild dish soap and warm water solution. Rinse the cloth and wipe again to remove any soapy residue, then dry thoroughly.

Avoid Acids

Never use vinegar, lemon juice, or bleach-based cleaners on stone, especially marble. These acids will etch the surface, leaving permanent dull marks.

Cleaning Glass

Proper Cleaning Solutions

Use a dedicated glass cleaner or a mix of vinegar and water (note: this is fine for glass but not for stone!). Spray onto a soft cloth first, then wipe the glass to avoid overspray on wooden frames.

Drying Technique

Dry with a clean, lint-free cloth (like a microfibre cloth) to prevent streaks.
